Job Title: Cable Puller

NSC Staffing is hiring a
Cable Puller to support new ship construction work. This role involves cable placement, pulling sheathed cables through ducts and stuffing tubes, and moving materials and equipment in a shipyard environment. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, detail-oriented, and able to work under direct supervision while following technical instructions.
Key Responsibilities: - Pull and install cables in shipboard cableways using approved methods.
- Push steel ribbon (fish tape) or rods through ducts to guide cable installation.
- Attach and pull wire or cable through ducts manually or using a winch.
- Properly secure and band cables after successful cable pulls.
- Move tools, materials, and equipment as needed; lift items up to 50 pounds.
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors and technical documentation including blueprints and manuals.
- Monitor work areas for hazards and report or escalate concerns appropriately.
- Use communication devices to coordinate with team members and ensure safety.
- Comply with shipyard and organizational safety and quality standards.
- Support other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications: - Must speak and read English fluently.
- Basic understanding of standard power tools and safety equipment.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Excellent vision and attention to detail required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work at heights up to 50 feet.
- Must be able to pass background check for access to shipyards.
