Flying Star Transport is hiring a Diesel Fleet Maintenance Manager to help keep our trucks and trailers on the road and running strong. You will focus on the people and results that make the whole company run smoother. Keep Drivers Moving: Plan preventative maintenance around driver schedules Solve DVIR issues quickly Make sure roadside repairs are handled fast Build a list of trusted vendors in every area Control Maintenance Costs: Keep maintenance costs per mile on or under budget Complete PMs on time and track trends Reduce downtime and stretch every maintenance dollar Use smart inventory practices like min and max levels Stay 100 Percent DOT Compliant: Prevent Out of Service violations from happening Keep DOT files complete and ready for inspection Respond to DOT citations on time Help maintain a strong FMCSA safety score Keep Data Accurate and Useful: Enter all work into maintenance software in a timely & accurate way. Track odometer readings and service history Report trends and use the data to prevent problems Help the team make better decisions with better information Your work supports our drivers, protects our brand, and keeps our customers happy. What You Need to Bring Class A CDL Hazmat and Tanker endorsements are helpful but not required right away Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Experience with Class 8 trucks and trailers Good understanding of DOT and FMCSA rules At least 3 years of experience in fleet or truck maintenance management Ability to track maintenance records and manage inventory Basic computer skills including experience with maintenance software A valid driver's license and clean driving record Clear written and verbal communication High standards and attention to detail Apply Now This role is key to our success.
