Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $225,000.00/yr Hiring 3 founding engineers to work in-person with us in SF. About Combinely Combinely is building an AI coworker for accountants. Combinely bridges the gap with an AI coworker that uses the same tools & knowledge to draft client-ready work just like a seasoned accountant. What you’ll do Deliver magic – design, build, and ship agentic AI systems that can reason, use tools, and solve complex accounting tasks. Talk to customers – understand the impact of the product and how to take it to the next level. Hire & mentor – help recruit the next wave of engineers and establish a positive & high-performance culture. Your experience Requirements 2+ years building and shipping production software Experience building and shipping LLM-powered products, with a deep understanding of agents, RAG, and evaluation. Strong programming skills, ideally in TypeScript or Python. Our stack is primarily TypeScript, Next.js, Prisma + MySQL, deployed on Vercel, PlanetScale, GCP & Azure. Daily user of AI coding tools (e.g. Cursor) Happy to work in-person in SF 5 days a week Authorised to work in the US. Nice to haves Experience with accounting, fintech, or compliance workloads Startup or B2B software background Interview process We aim to move fast and give an answer within 24 hours after each stage. You can expect an offer within 2 weeks from application. Founder call (30 mins) – get to know each other and make sure we’re on the same page. Take-home task (72h) – a realistic task you might take on at Combinely. On-site interview (2-3h) – deep-dive on your take-home + extend it with a new feature, walk through past projects, and an open culture chat.
