Description
SUMMARY The HVAC Parts and Supplies Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, managing a high-performing sales team, and optimizing product offerings through strategic vendor relationships and negotiations. This role focuses on HVAC parts, tools, and supplies, and requires a hands-on leader who understands market trends, customer needs, and supplier dynamics to ensure competitive pricing and product availability.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Supervisory Responsibilities:
- LMA - Leadership, Management, Accountability
- Recruits, interview, hire, and train new staff in the department.
- Act as coach and mentor to all Product Specialists.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance conversations.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Product Specialist, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow revenue, market share, and profitability across assigned territories.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with HVAC contractors, service technicians, and dealers.
- Oversee vendor management, including evaluating suppliers, maintaining preferred vendor relationships, and resolving performance issues.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and programs with vendors to ensure optimal product mix, competitive pricing, and strong margins.
- Collaborate with purchasing and inventory teams to align sales forecasts with inventory levels and ensure supply chain efficiency.
- Support branch locations and counter sales teams with product knowledge, promotions, and customer engagement strategies.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
- Prepare regular sales and margin reports, analyze trends, and adjust strategy as needed.
- Partner with marketing to promote parts and supplies through campaigns, events, and product launches.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies on pricing, credits, returns, and customer service standards.
- Participate in and promote continuous learning and development through training initiatives such as MN Air University, HR programs, tech-support courses, webinars, or other job-related trainings to foster a continuous learning and development mindset.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES - Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Associate's degree in HVAC, Sales, Marketing, or a related field ( required ).
- Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in HVAC, wholesale distribution, or a related industry ( preferred) .
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered.
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role ( preferred ).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC parts, supplies, tools, and their applications.
- Familiarity with MN, ND and WI markets ( strongly preferred ).

- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
