Infrastructure Operations at Spire Global is foundational to the support of software engineering teams and unlocking new capabilities for satellite software development. The vision of this team is simple: carry Spire Global's AWS infrastructure to new heights through inclusive, thoughtful, and deliberate engineering. More specifically, you will shape and maintain the internal developer platform (IDP), including our CI/CD pipelines and observability stack, on which satellite software is designed, deployed, tested, and managed. Key Responsibilities: Supporting internal stakeholders leveraging the Spire IDP and working to understand their AWS resourcing and networking needs; collaborating with software engineering teams; designing solutions; acting as a technical leader to drive the implementations Design, deploy and maintain internal developer platform services and supporting processes to improve efficiency across the software development lifecycle for all of the Spire software engineering teams Basic Qualifications: 3+ years operational experience with AWS including a deep understanding of AWS networking and security solutions 5+ years' experience operating and maintaining production infrastructure along with experience diagnosing and communicating about incidents and risks affecting customers. 3+ years' experience in deploying infrastructure as code with Terraform or CloudFormation Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems Eagerness to automate away toil and improve the lives of your coworkers Knowledgeable in administration of various Linux distributions (AWS Linux, CentOS, Ubuntu) Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience. AWS Certified Advanced Networking AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional Understanding of Security and operational standards and regulations Experience with continuous delivery tooling and methodologies Knowledgeable in variety of monitoring and observability solutions Operational understanding of modern distributed systems Skilled in script development (Bash, Python, etc.) Can lead technical architecture discussions and help drive design decisions within your team Cultural traits we're looking for: Articulates ideas well in both spoken and written form Promotes open and effective collaboration between people and teams Balances tactical and strategic decisions for overall mission success Feels strongly about technological and operational excellence Values accurate measurements over expert opinions Mindfulness when creating and managing infrastructure that we can meet SLA requirements and minimize downtime for customers Tools and Technologies: AWS (Kubernetes/EKS and ECS, WAF, NLB, ACM, Network Firewall, API Gateway, ACM, Secrets Manager), Terraform, Argo CD, GitHub and GitHub Actions, Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, Calico, Hashicorp Vault Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office. Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required for this role. If needed, Spire will arrange the necessary licenses-this is not something candidates need to have before applying.

The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Final base salary for this role will be based on the location, skills, experience and qualifications. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for annual equity awards and our employee benefits program, including vacation, sick, and personal time off; optional medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage; a 401(K) plan; health and wellness reimbursement program; and participation in Spire's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
