Scion Technology has been engaged to lead a Software Engineering Leader search on behalf of our client, an innovative and rapidly growing technology company located in Phoenix, AZ, and this role is for immediate, direct-hire! In-office role with 20% flexibility to work from home. (4 days a week onsite, 1 day remote) Competitive base salary, $180K - $200K annually. Free parking. What You Will Do: Lead and execute the technical vision and system design decisions for cloud-native solutions, including front-end and back-end development. Collaborate closely with software engineers and engineering leaders to design, build, deploy, and operate production systems. Mentor team members, enforcing best coding practices and driving continual improvement. Create tools and templates to simplify processes and enhance productivity. Scale the existing platform significantly, managing increased load while ensuring 100% uptime. Champion API-first approaches and domain-driven designs to maintain loosely coupled systems. Proactively manage and mitigate technical debt. What You Will Bring: 10+ years of hands-on software development lifecycle experience, including at least 3 years as a Staff Engineer or higher. 5+ years of experience with modern technologies such as GoLang, GraphQL, microservices, and NoSQL databases. Extensive cloud development expertise, particularly in Azure, including cloud-based architecture and automated release pipelines. Strong proficiency with API-first designs and loosely coupled, domain-driven systems. Interested?
