Position Description GTMR, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Network Engineer/Systems Administrator to join our team. You will plan and execute system administrative activities, coordinate with Program Management and Lead Engineers. The role is based at NAS Patuxent River MD, working a compressed work schedule of four 9-hour days (Monday-Thursday) and an 8-hour day (Friday) for the first week, followed by four 9-hour days (Monday-Thursday) and a day off on the second Friday, providing a biweekly 3-day weekend. Responsibilities Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure in aircraft, support facilities, and labs. Support network integration during testing of new technologies. Train users on network resources. Provide Tier Three support for operational platforms. Ensure cybersecurity best practices are followed. Perform network grooming and integration with aircraft systems. Evaluate LAN/WAN interfaces with satellite communication systems. Collaborate with the Information Assurance team to address vulnerabilities. Communicate effectively to resolve network issues. Create and maintain network documentation. Plan and execute network upgrades and projects. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues. Work with various technicians to resolve hardware/software issues. Collaborate effectively within a team environment. Required Experience 2+ years as a Network Engineer in a tactical environment. US DoD TS Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access and maintain CI Poly. Security+ CE Certification within 6 months, maintained thereafter. Experience with Cisco IOS, Ruckus ICX, VMware ESXI, Cisco UCS. Experience with MIL and Commercial SATCOM systems on aircraft. Experience with cryptographic equipment setup. Preferred Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (preferred). Experience with MIL SATCOM, Commercial SATCOM, ELINT, COMINT, FISINT, WAN, Ethernet and Fiber Optic Cabling, Mil STD 1553B, INS, GPS, troubleshooting, integration, and testing. Experience with EDM satcom terminals and ARSTRAT certification/testing is highly desired. Work shifts may vary, including day, evening, or night, with possible weekend work. Occasional travel may be required.
